'Yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and  we exist through him' 1 Corinthians 8:6
Jesus - God's Son, not God's Equal
When Jesus started his ministry, he shocked the surrounding Jewish rabbis by making an extraordinary claim - that he was the Son of God. This was misinterpreted as blasphemy and was largely responsible for the movement among prominent Jewish religious leaders that led to his crucifixion.
However, although Jesus claimed to be the Son of God, he never actually claimed to be equal with God. This is a small yet crucial distinction. During his mortal life Jesus never tried to assume the authority of his Father, but submitted to God's will, even when his natural inclinations made him want to do otherwise.
Join us as we take a look at the nature of Jesus the Son of God.

'So Jesus said to them , "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise"' Matthew 24:42
